It has been non-stop snowing here in the DC metro area for almost a week now. The federal government is closed, the state of Virginia has spent almost 2 million on snow cleanup and my car is once again buried. The last part doesn’t really matter as I have a sedan and the roads won’t be plowed at least until Saturday. Plus, there is another snow storm coming in on Monday. Crazy I tell ya. So what is the ultimate gift for a person snowed in? Homemade Hot Chocolate and Peppermint Schnapps. Not only is it warm to the touch, it will warm up your insides too.
