The Screaming O cocktail in a rocks glass

The Screaming “O”

There are a few cocktails that I used to make as a bartender that had crazy names. This is one of them. It is a sweet yet strong concoction that is very similar to a white Russian, but includes Amaretto and Bailey’s. The drink is a little sweet and masks the alcohol amazingly. You won’t be able to taste any alcohol at all.

The Screaming "O"

Having this cocktail in your arsenal will definitely get the ladies socially lubricated.

Mix together and stir. If you are using large rocks glasses, double the ingredients. This drink is super easy and will definitely get everyone to show their “O” face.

Notes

This is a sweet drink that masks the alcohol very well – you won’t be able to taste any alcohol at all. Bartender tip: Use large chunks of ice (icebergs) instead of cubes to keep the drink cold without watering it down. The single large ice cube limits surface area and prevents excessive melting.

**Bartender Tip of the Day**

The key to keeping drinks cold without watering them down is to use an iceberg. What is that? Well it is using large chunks of ice instead of a bunch of cubes. Having one giant cube will limit the surface area of ice that is contacting the drink, thus having less surface area that can melt. A single giant iceberg will keep your drink cold without watering it down.

Making icebergs is easy. You can either make ice blocks, then chip the icebergs out of the block using an ice pick. Or you can make individual icebergs using plastic freezer bags. Fill the bags with a 1/2 cup of water. Then place the bags into a muffin pan and place the muffin pan into the freezer. Once they freeze then remove the bags from the muffin pan and then store the freezer bags until you need them. If they ice sticks in the bag, run the bag under warm water for a couple of seconds and the icebergs will fall right out.

A quick and easy way to keep your drinks cool.
