Diet Ideas

So as many of you know, I am getting married in the near future.  I would like to lose a few pounds before the wedding day.  I am having a heck of a time thinking up ideas for lower calorie food.  Heck, I usually eat pizza, pasta, bread, desserts, more desserts and even more desserts.  I know that I could drop the more desserts and even more desserts, but I figured I could post some lower calorie recipes.  This is where you come in. I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for lower calorie meals or even suggestions for things to cook.  Whenever I think of a recipe, I usually start with bacon, pizza dough or chocolate.  I need to change my way of thinking to lose some weight before my wedding day.  Don’t worry if you are a huge fan of my high calorie meals, I will still post a couple of them from time to time.  Everyone needs a break. right?

If you guys have any suggestions it would really be appreciated.

  1. Grill, grill, grill! Boneless, skinless marinated chicken breasts, fish and fresh veggies. My "sweet treat" is lt. Cool Whip, sf pistachio pudding and a can of crushed pineapple all mixed together. I use it to keep me away from DQ! 🙂 Good luck!

  2. Gotta love that ring. 1/2 daily intake of veggies. No bread, no pasta, no red meat and eat 6 times a day and drink lots of water or green tea. That is what I am doing. Right there with ya. Good luck. Keep us posted of your progress!

    1. Thanks to everyone. Those are all great suggestions. Definitely going to try to make an effort to visit the farmers market more. My veggie intake should be increasing as my CSA is in full swing. I like the idea of grilling to lose weight. Thanks Aunt Heidi. I will definitely be doing that.
