My family loves to eat cookies. Some of our favorite cookies are pressed cookies. They are easy to make, equal in size and consistent in quality. They are basically the easiest cookies in the world to cook the same repeatedly. In order to make these we had to pick up a cookie press. After looking at various reviews online we decided to pick up an Oxo Cookie Press. Next since it is Valentines day we decided to make some Valentines cookies. This was easy as a few of the various cookie cutters included with the Oxo cookie press were hearts, flowers and teddy bears. Perfect for Valentines Day! The go to dough for these cookies, is Dana’s Mother’s recipe. Thanks for letting me reprint this Jane.

Valentines Day is fast approaching and I wanted to make a nice dessert for the occasion. I love chocolate and so do most people on Valentines Day. So I wanted to make a chocolate souffle. However, every recipe that I came across made 6-8 souffles. I only wanted two. So I did the math and the testing to create a recipe that makes just two souffles.
The souffles are super light and fluffy. Plus, the souffles can be made up to 24 hours in advance so it is an easy dessert.
Yesterday I purchased a couple of filets and I really wanted to grill them. However mother nature said no, and dropped about an inch of rain on us. So I decided it was time to break out the broiler. Besides toasting bread, I have never used my broiler. Cooking a steak in the broiler is simple and super tasty. Crank the broiler up to high and cook like you would with a grill. The only difference is that the top cooks instead of the bottom. Plus, you give up on those precious grill marks. But when it is raining, it is the perfect solution.
Topped with a little Gorgonzola this steak is awesome!!!
So I have been getting a ton of emails and comments from my friends that I have failed to make a bacon dessert. So I decided to make chocolate covered bacon. Salty and sweet and 100 percent awesome!!! Before I started, I discussed the possibilities of chocolate bacon with my friend Jeff and his sister Spud. Spud had a some insight into the process behind chocolate covered bacon. She told me that the bacon had to be extremely crispy and the chocolate tasted better when it was dark chocolate as opposed to milk chocolate. So I picked up a pound of bacon and 8 ozs of Ghirardelli.
The other day I was at the store and I happened to stop by the fish counter. What did I see, a big sale on Lobster tails. So I picked up a couple. Since it is so nice out, I wanted to grill them. But how does one grill a Lobster tail? Keep reading to find out.
Yesterday, I went over to a friends house for a birthday extravaganza. I wanted to bring something that was light and refreshing. So I went to the store and strawberries were on sale for $1.99 a pound. Perfect, strawberry based dessert. Then I remembered a recipe that my friend made for my house warming party. Stuffed strawberry poppers.
