Herbed Rice
A simple and delicious herbed rice.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups uncooked long grain rice
  • 1 large onion diced
  • 1 can chicken broth 14.5 oz
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
  1. Add two tablespoons of butter to a frying pan and heat over medium/high heat.
  2. Dice an onion and add it to the pan and cook until tender.
  3. Add two cups of rice to the bowl of your rice cooker. Then rinse the rice, drain and repeat until the water is clear. Once the water is clear, drain and set aside.
  4. Once the onion is tender, add it to the rice. Then add dried herbs and salt.
  5. Finally add 1-14.5 oz can of chicken broth to rice bowl.
  6. Cook the rice according to your rice cooker instructions.
  7. Once the rice is cooked, fluff with a fork and serve.
Recipe Notes

If you do not have a rice cooker you can cook the rice on the stove top. When it comes to the rice cooking steps, cook according to the directions on your rice container.
