Food Trucks From Different Eras

Food Trucks from Different Eras

Food trucks are everywhere these days, offering all sorts of handcrafted specialty food and drinks to the masses. But have you ever wondered what kind of food would have been served if food trucks existed in different eras? No? Well, we did. And here’s a sampling.

FOOD FIRE WHEEL

If you like meat, you’ll love FOOD FIRE WHEEL, offering the best free-range dinosaur barbecue in the land. Our meat is freshly killed and cooked over an open fire by cavemen who hunted and gathered it that day. Smothered in Ugg’s famous barbecue sauce, made fresh daily from twigs and berries. To find us, look for smoke in the sky and walk toward it.

Viking Age

Get to Val’s Halla Good Fish Tacos by land or sea. And when you visit, be sure to raid and conquer Val’s specialty: salted herring tacos. Eat one right away, or save some for the trip home. Marauders travel leagues for them, and so should you!

Victorian Era

Hop in your carriage and head to McGillicuddy’s for his handcrafted stewed mutton sliders, made with organic vegetables and all-natural, preservative-free, 100 percent lean sheep meat. They’re fit for the queen, but here, there is no ruling class. Everyone can enjoy these fascinating sandwiches, served with your choice of tea.

Prohibition

If you’re the type of dapper gent or fun-time flapper who likes a little hooch with your lunch, then keep on walking past our truck. Because we serve sandwiches and sandwiches only, hear? That’s bread, some type of meat, and a lettuce leaf if you’re lucky. We definitely don’t serve handcrafted cocktails made by the best mixologists in town. Stop on by if you’re, uh, hungry. If you know what we’re sayin’.

1960s

These aren’t your average frozen TV dinners. Our well-balanced, pre-proportioned meals are a foodie’s dream come true. Housewives and bachelors alike love our top seller: gourmet buffa- lo-chive meatloaf with garlic-horseradish mashed potatoes and green beans amandine. We heat them for you and even offer your choice of cigarette for a post-meal smoke.

Space Age

In today’s antigravity world, who actually sits down to dinner anymore? No one. So float by this space truck for a healthy, nutritious, and super-convenient meal supplement. Our nutrient pellets are made with heirloom powder, originally manufactured on Earth. We’ll get you fortified and on your way in light speed.

Fridays has a food truck for today’s discerning palates. We’re traveling the country and handing out a few of our new handcrafted menu items on our Summer of Fridays road tour. If our truck doesn’t hit your city, head to your local Fridays for a taste of our new menu. And don’t forget our handcrafted cocktails.
