Ingredients
  • 6 tbs olive oil
  • 1/2 diced onion roughly 1/3 cup
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 28-29 oz can tomato sauce
  • 6 ounce tomato paste
  • 1 tbs dried parsley
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
  1. Finely dice 1/2 and onion and mince 2 cloves of garlic.
  2. Heat a large saucepan over medium heat and add the olive oil, onions and garlic.
  3. Sweat the onions and garlic for 3 minutes or until they start to turn translucent.
  4. Then add the tomato sauce, tomato paste, dried parsley, dried oregano, salt, sugar and black pepper.
  5. Mix well and then simmer for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove from the heat and serve.
