The main sweetness in this sauce comes from the peach preserves. Since the preserves have a natural thickening agent and are loaded with sweetness, this the easiest wing sauce in the world to make.
-
Add all of the ingredients into a saucepan and heat until the preserves melt and set aside.
-
Prepare your grill for indirect cooking. Basically heat half of the grill to medium/high.
-
Season the chicken wings with salt and pepper (cayenne optional if you want heat) and place them over the cold part of the grill. Cook for 15 minutes and then flip the wings and cook for another 15 minutes.
-
Brush the wings with the sauce and move them over the direct heat to finish. Brush and flip the wings 2 to 3 times. Letting the wings sear on each flip.
-
Cook the wings to about 185-190 degrees for a perfectly crunchy skin and a moist wing.
-
Once the wings hit the perfect temperature you can remove them from the grill and serve, no need to re-dip in sauce.
