A cool and refreshing summertime drink. Ice cold freshly squeezed lemonade.
Servings: 10 cups
- 3 lbs lemons
- 2 cups sugar
- 8 1/2 cups water
Add 2 cups water and 2 cups sugar to a saucepan.
Heat over low to medium heat until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from the stove and let cool.
Juice 3 pounds of lemons.
Strain the lemon juice into a pitcher. Then add 1.5 cups of the simple sugar. Remember you made a little over 2 cups of the stuff, so do not use it all.
Then add 6 1/2 cups of cold water to the pitcher.
Stir and taste. Adjust the sweetness to your liking by adding more of simple syrup.
